THANK YOU CLEARBROOK HONEY FARM

This honey is locally grown (well to Kim, Scott, and Kendall) in Clearbrook, MN.  A friend of ours brought over a jar of it to Kim and Scott's and Mom tried it when she was up once and  loved it!  She used it in her coffee every morning!
The BBQ sauce included in the basket has honey from the farm in it as well.  Some of the BEST honey BBQ sauce around!  Thank you Johnson Family!!!

Mark Your Calendars!!!

Life is about both looking behind us and smiling with our memories and looking ahead of us to see what may be around the corner.

For us Rankin Girls, this year has been both a year of joy and pain.  Pain in that we lost Mom due to complications from Vascualar Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (VEDS)....and Joy in the realization that we had SO many more years with her than most families who have members with VEDS.

One of the reasons we were so lucky to have Mom with us so long was because she was constantly monitoring the research around VEDS and what small changes she could make in her daily life to make her vascular tissues stronger.  She visited the doctors that specialized in VEDS, attended conferences, and stalked their research websites and newsletters.  Each little thing she did in her own life contributed to her longevity.

To honor our mother and to give back to those dedicated to VEDS research, we Rankin Girls are holding the Ruth Cooper Research Fund benefit with all proceeds going to the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation so that families such as ours can enjoy their loved ones as long as we got to enjoy having Mom with us.

So, mark your calendars!!

Join us on March 12th, 2011, at the Forman Center in Manito, IL, for supper, good music, and an auction!

As this endeavor is a large one, if you have time, talents, or treasures that you would want to donate to the cause, we would, of course, be honored and thrilled.  Please feel free to contact Karen at 309.968.6086 or email us at ruthcooperresearch@gmail.com.

Once again, mark your calendars!!!  And check back often, as we'll be updating the site as more info becomes available!!
